# Refunds

Exactly when you're refunded, how much, and how Router prevents double charges.

Refunds are automatic. You never need to ask for one.

A failed request shows: *"This generation couldn't be completed. Any reserved credits have been refunded."*

## Partial image results

If you ask for several images and only some arrive, you pay per delivered image:

`charge = (reserved ÷ requested) × delivered`, rounded down per image.

Example: you reserve 204 credits for 4 images and 3 arrive. You pay 3 × 51 = **153 credits** and **51** are refunded.

## You're never charged twice

* **Request IDs.** Each request has a unique ID. If a request is sent again with the same ID and the same content, Router returns the original result and doesn't charge again.
* **Uncertain submissions.** If Router can't tell whether a model accepted a request, it shows **Confirming your request** and doesn't resubmit it. If it can't be confirmed before the time limit, you're refunded in full. Any output that arrives after the refund isn't delivered.
* **Late results.** A result that arrives after a request was refunded can't charge you.
* Each request can be refunded **at most once**.
