# Pricing

Why the same models cost less on Router, and exactly how your bill is calculated.

## Same models, lower price

When you buy Claude from Anthropic or GPT from OpenAI, you pay their published price. On Router you pay less for the **same model**. Every model is below the maker's published price, **up to 30% off**. The discount differs by model: it depends on how much we save sourcing that model, and we pass about half of that saving on to you.

## Simple, fixed prices

* **No subscription, no minimum, no platform fee.** You pay per request.
* **One price list** for everyone. Prices don't change with demand or time of day.
* **Every request shows its price before you submit**, and its charge afterwards.
* **Past requests never change.** A price change applies only to new requests.

## How a charge is calculated

Charges are in credits ($0.001 each), rounded up to a whole credit per request. A short chat reply on Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs about **1–10 credits** ($0.001–$0.01).
