# Glossary

Definitions of the terms used in these docs.

| Term                | Definition                                                                                  |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Burn**            | Permanently destroying tokens on-chain. Adding credits burns the GEN you convert.           |
| **Credit**          | The unit you spend on Router. 1 credit = $0.001 of service.                                 |
| **Finalized**       | A blockchain transaction that can no longer be reversed. Credits are added after finality.  |
| **GEN**             | A token on Robinhood Chain. 1 GEN = 1,000 credits = $1 of service. Not redeemable for cash. |
| **Generation**      | One request: a chat reply, a set of images or a video.                                      |
| **List price**      | The model maker's official price.                                                           |
| **Quote**           | The price shown before you submit. Binding for images and video; the maximum for chat.      |
| **Reservation**     | Credits held while a request runs. Unused or undelivered parts are refunded.                |
| **Robinhood Chain** | The blockchain GEN lives on.                                                                |
| **Token (chat)**    | A small chunk of text that chat models read and write. Chat is priced per million tokens.   |
