# Video

Video models, resolutions, durations, reference files and how pricing works.

## Make a video

1. Open **Studio → Video**.
2. Pick a model, resolution, length and aspect ratio. Defaults: **Seedance 2.5, 480p, 4 seconds, 16:9**.
3. Optionally add reference images, videos or audio.
4. Enter a prompt (up to **4,000 characters**), check the original price, **10% discount** and credit cost, then generate.

Router chooses the infrastructure supplier internally. Your model and price do not depend on choosing a supplier.

Videos take a few minutes. You can leave the page: the video keeps rendering and appears in **Creations** when it's ready.

## What a video costs

Video uses a fixed **per-second** list by resolution, with **10% off**. The reference list comes from [BytePlus’s published five-second, 16:9 examples without video input](https://docs.byteplus.com/en/docs/modelark/model-pricing?redirect=1). Router fixes this output-second quote, including references; actual direct token bills can vary with aspect ratio and inputs.

`price = official reference rate per second × length × 90%`, rounded up once to a whole credit.

Examples on Seedance 2.5:

The full price is reserved when you submit. If the video fails or doesn't finish within **45 minutes**, it's refunded in full.

## Reference files (Seedance only)

Seedance can follow reference images, videos and audio.

To upload references, your balance must cover the model's cheapest video (**371 credits** for Seedance 2.5, **548 credits** for Seedance 2.0).

Reference files and finished videos are stored at public links.

## Downloads

Finished videos download as `holorouter-<id>.mp4`. Only you can use the download button for your videos.
